To complement the New Moon Gatherings, Full Moon Features offer us a opportunity to shine a light on some of the wholesome, healing, beautiful and beneficial things that are happening in our world.
Through a selection of reflections, pictures, conversations and gatherings, let’s celebrate our beautiful world and meet some of the changemakers and consider how we might support them.

“Rather than focus on the drama [of all the is going on in the world] focus on the earth and what is birthing – growing food, regenerating the land, food sovereignty – creating a world of love that we have never known”
Pam Gregory
After some time away, in the August 19th Super Full Moon Feature we meet Germán and Mario of La Flor del Agua as they weave their spiritual understanding into descriptions of the Rose Garden, Agroecology, Foraging, Agroforestry, Environmental Education and Food Sovereignty.
We speak about some of the delicious meals we have prepared from foraged and harvested vegetables, meet a few of the roses, consider how the foresight of our female ancestors has benefited us and how our actions now can benefit generations to come.
Sit back and enjoy a stroll around the rose garden.

“When the student is ready the teacher will appear.
When the student is truly ready”
Lao Tzu
Welcome to the March Full Moon Penumbral Eclipse, with its invitation to notice as the earth casts a shadow across the moon.
I was excited to see the almost full moon rising last night and I sat for a while in its gentle light, greeting what felt like a long-lost friend. My old illusion that the weather is fine at the full moon has been shattered these last months, with their grey stormy skies.
And today the rain has returned – what will this evening bring? The moon will of-course continue to exert its pull, whether shrouded in cloud or radiant in crystal clear skies.
Radiance and shadow, darkness and light, the theme is one mentioned by Heather Ensworth in her Penumbral Eclipse talk on YouTube. Only five days after the equinox, with equal hours of day and night across the globe, we have today’s full moon, and then in just two weeks, a total solar eclipse at the new moon on 8th April.
Last year, at the equinox, many felt that humanity was at an individual and collective choice-point – do we continue to live in fear, or will we choose love?
I still remember the urgency I felt as I convened the first equinox prayer gathering – professing love and the urge to actively support those working towards humanitarian goals.
Since then, I have seen how, deep down, fear was alive and well in the pit of my psyche. I’ve seen what it looked like when I was in its grip, and I was aghast at what I saw.

New Stars for a New Era with Alan Clay
Those of you who read my updates will know of the growing interest in and enthusiasm I have for Astrology.
Looking back, I can see how beginning an astrological journey was an obvious next step for me.
You may read more of my thoughts on this in the blog post dated 24th February 2024.
After a couple of years listening and learning, I have found astrology to be an intriguing, dynamic, expansive comingling of natural rhythms, sacred geometry, myths, archetypes and the spiritual journey of transformation.
It is a divinatory practice, a geometric language, a symbolic language, a sacred language. . ..
It’s offering me a wonderfully non-judgemental way of reflecting upon my life – bringing new understanding to some of the struggles and joys and, I believe supporting me in ever-becoming my authentic self.
On a much larger scale, it’s offering an expansive way to look at culture, society, human behaviour, earth changes and a perspective on our current times that just makes sense to me!
Alan Clay, my guest for this month’s Full Moon Feature says –
“Astrology is a social science, recording the psychology and behaviour of people over the eons as referenced to the dynamic system in which we live.”
And Alan is keen to share astrology with those who have not yet discovered what a wonderful tool it is on the journey of spiritual formation.
This is where my new enthusiasm meets Alan’s wish to make astrology accessible to all!
You’re invited to watch the conversation Alan and I recorded earlier this week.
Alan explains the basics of astrology and speaks a little about the way he works with astrological energies.
And, most importantly, he introduces us to some of the 10 new dwarf planets through their myths and symbolic personalities. Alan explains why these planets are so important for our time and offers suggestions as to how they support us on our journey towards mature spirituality or evolved consciousness.
Please, sit back and enjoy!
New Stars for a New Era – A Consciousness Workbook for our 10 New Planets.
Alan’s new book which offers a no-jargon introduction to the 10 new planets, consciousness raising exercises and a get-started guide for those starting out on their astrological journey.
It’s available as a paperback from Barnes and Noble or as eBook and paperback from Amazon.
The planet images from the book, shared in the video are by Karen La Puma
I’m excited to see where the journey leads.
Will you join me?
