Navigating the Mysteries - Finding authenticity and the way to a more loving world.

Thank you to those who were able to follow my Camino dos Faros on Facebook and my apologies to those who were hoping for some reflections on the website.

By nature, I am idealistic and developing a greater awareness of the realistic is an ongoing lesson for me! It turns out, my hope to offer reflections in action (whilst on the Camino) was idealistic! The thought of offering reflections on action, feels much more possible. They are brewing! Please feel welcome to check-out the Walking Reflections page of the website, to see what might be emerging!

The Lighthouse Way, as it weaves along the coast, offered the perfect metaphor for my inner journey. The twists and turns of the path, from headland to headland, lighthouse to lighthouse repeatedly invite the walker to re-view the path just trodden as well as to glimpse ahead, in anticipation (and sometimes relief!) of what is to come.

I relished the solitude, the wildness, the beauty and the time spent on the threshold between sea and land.

These conditions open me. With every ascent and descent, I found memories rising and falling, reminding me of who I am.

Skipping boulders, synchronicities and unexpected animal encounters offered reassurance and invitations to maintain balance. To be present, here now and to consider each day’s destination.

The richness of the journey and what it might hold for the future are only just beginning to unfold.

And I arrived home in time for the Full Blue Super Moon, momentarily revealed between dark storm clouds on Wednesday night and again during the hour of God, early this morning.

Many believe that at the peak of the moon cycle, the full moon signifies a time when things are brought to a head – the moon’s brightness shining a light and revealing the truth.

It feels like another pivotal moment for me.

As I walked, Christopher Logue’s Come to the Edge ebbed and flowed through me, like the sea’s insistent swell,

Come to the edge.

We might fall.

Come to the edge.

                It’s too high!

COME TO THE EDGE!

And they came

And he pushed

And they flew . . . .

It is calling to you too?

This month’s Full Moon Feature, a podcast with my friend and long serving humanitarian worker, Glenn Goss honours the International Days, with their humanitarian theme, celebrated throughout August. Glenn concludes our conversation with the thought,

We can all contribute in some small way.”

Perhaps your contribution will be to listen to the podcast, or to join the next New Moon Gathering, to send prayers and appreciation to all those who are dedicated to making the world a more loving place.
